The melancholic ending just did it for me. The robots undying love for his dead mother only existed because it was programmed to do so. Combined with the fast forwarding of several thousand years, it made human existance seem like such a small and unimportant piece of history in terms of the universe.

I felt sick/teary at the end of this movie.

I saw part of this japanese movie when channel surfing, the chick cut off the penis off of her apparently dead husband/lover. I think she may have had sex with the dead guy as well.

8mm was a bit disturbing.

Another japanese movie where there was this female serial killer/psycho. She was seeing this guy, ends up killing his son (I think) and chops off the mans feet or something before he manages to kill her? Can't really remember.

I just saw that last weekend. Surprisingly entertaining. I loved how their part of the story ended.

I saw part of one of those Traces of Death films and had to leave the room. Sure I could have sat through it, but why?

Hell, I've watched like 3 of the movies mentioned in this thread in the past couple days.

I didn't find Hard Candy particularly disturbing, but I love it a ton. The movie messes with your head so much...

Requiem really freaked me out. I almost just stayed home the next day.

Se7en is awesome, but holds nothing to requiem.

Battle Royale is just awesome, but it's the only one of the Japenese movies that have been/will be mentioned.

I'm suprised no one has mentioned Blood Sucking Freaks yet. It's the classic totally over the top sex and violence film. So bad Troma Films regretted publishing it.
