Default NL25 (6 max): preflop and flop plays

I am new to NL 6 max games, swtiched from NL full ring games. The table is loose and passive. A lot of preflop limpers.

Hand 1:

You were dealt KTo at the button. 3 limpers to you. Action?

<font color="blue">
I raise here to 4BB since I have position.
</font>

SB folded. BB called. All the limpers called. 5 players to the flop.

Flop: 678r check to you. Action?

Hand 2: You are dealed A9s at UTG+1. UTG is a very loose player, plays almost everyhand, but decent at flop. Action?

H!1 I would raise pot, which is to 6.5BB. Check the flop and hope for a 9.

H2: What did UTG+1 do?
