WTF is this bug?

Help me OOT. I [censored] hate bugs, especially things that fly. I've now caught and disposed of four bugs exactly like this one, except one was much larger (maybe 2x the size) and the other three are this size. I have one in captivity and I made some sketches since the camera doesn't work well through the plastic.

This thing flies, and it's pretty quick. Its ass moves up and down when it's angry or agitated, and its antennae shake quite visibly. Its back legs are much larger than its front legs, and it almost looks like it can jump around its cage. The ass would be detached from its body if it weren't for that little cylindrical connector area. The head is like an oval shape with big ugly bug eyes.

So, wtf is this? I can try to take more shots or even a video if it might help, but they really did turn out terrible. Is this thing going to lay eggs in my brain? Will it sting me to death in my sleep? This is near Houston by the way, if that matters. Help please. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

That's a quarter-sized circle, by the way. I don't know why I didn't just put a quarter on the paper.

No, jesus christ that thing creeps me out. It's all one color, it's this very very dark blue or black color.

I don't think so, the ass doesn't look right on that one. I could try and get some video if my sketches are bad, I'm terrible at drawing.

Ah well, I give up...if it was a tarantula hawk, I was going to recommend you keep it as a pet and feed it tarantulas.
