raise turn. he call down A high or 3-bet weak 9 u cap cap cap he call down. or u get at least 3 bet from 2x hand that might check river if u call turn which would lead to only getting 2 bet. so i like turn raise to insure 3 bet from 2x and possibly Ax where he may check river and only give me 2 bet. also want to cap vs weaker 9.

Wouldn't a loose passive be more likely to slowplay his trips on this board if he had the 9? Anyway, I went back and forth on this, but I agree with milesdyson in the end mostly because I think he has a hand that he likes enough to bet into 3 people on the flop so he will probably call down worse hands if you raise.

This would be ok against an aggro opponent or an opponent thats capable of folding...A player as bad as 70/0/0 is incapable of folding the weakest of hands...raise turn, make money

If he's as dumb as you say, he'll call your raise on the turn and check/call on fifth street. He may not even be aware that the possiblity of trips is out there. So lets look at the options:
1. Turn: Villian Bets, You Call
River: Villian bets, You raise, he calls.

2. Turn: Villian Bets, You Raise, He calls
River: Villian checks, you bet, Villian calls.
(if he's as fishy as you say, I just don't see him folding in scenerio 1 or 2)

In scenerio 2 however, you give him more streets to reraise and put more bets in and make more mistakes. Just based on your read, I think you have a chance to extract more bets through a turn raise then a river raise.

So yeah anyway I called, and he bet the Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on the river, snort. He wound up showing TT anyway so it didn't matter much.

Really I was just weighing the likelyhood of him c/f'ing the river if I raised since I wanted at least 3 of his BB going into the pot.

I don't hate the flop, but once you're HU on the turn don't you think it would be a good idea to start taking this guy's pebbles away? I mean, Shania forbid he gets disconnected and Party check-folds him.

I miss you guys.

Edit: read the thread, saw this:

Uh, Eeeg? How're we supposed to have a better read on your Villan than you do, given that all the information we have is filtered through you?

Just curious.

Flop looks good, but I like a turn raise. This maniac will call.
