Re: split Qs, what is your play?
Folding can't be far wrong. At this level, I would figure both of your opponents for big pocket pairs, and I would expect at least one of them to have you beaten. It's hard to play too tight in a low ante game.

Why not raise here? I am pretty new at 7cs but I can't see just calling something that might get a raise behind you.

Re: split Qs, what is your play?
Ante is small, but there is sufficient money in the pot when the action reaches you to play for. Folding is fine, and much less volatile, but if you want to play for the pot, you have to be willing to raise here. Your Queens are all live, Aces are not. You want to be drawing live against one opponent, and you would rather he had Aces than Kings. I would take it to three town, expecting to get it heads-up with substantial dead money in the pot. You are an underdog to AA (.36 equity according to Twodimes), but on 4th you will have sufficient pot odds to see 5th if you have to call a bet, which is not a certainty. After that, you need a hand.
If you can't get it heads-up, you should capitulate, which is why this is a risky play. You will be throwing chips at the pot trying to scare people out of it, and whether that works or not, you have spent the chips. So yeah, folding is fine. |

Re: split Qs, what is your play?
Re-raise 3rd.
You don't want to be 3 handed with queens and you're very likely the current best hand - get more money in and get one of them to fold 3rd. EDIT: Seeing other responses after replying myself, I honestly can't see folding 3rd at this level - 3bet it and re-evaluate 4th. first raise was likely 9's and 2nd raise is less likely AA4 because one ace is dead, so either KK4, JJ4, TT4 or depending on how aggro he is could be other hands as well like A44 and 3flushes/straights (although less likely because a lot of clubs are dead). |

Re: split Qs, what is your play?
Unless seat 4 has a maniacal and/or super-tricky reputation, QJQ isn't anything close to "very likely" being the current best hand.
There are not too many low-limit players who will raise TT4 or JJ4 in this spot, though maybe they should. I really think 90+% of the time you are against KK4, AA4, or 444. I am happy to fold it, though I have some sympathy for the reraisers. |
