Deep KK hand
Party 5/10NL 6-max.
We are 5 handed right now, villain is the BB in this hand, I haven't seen him do anything wacko in the 2-3 hours we've been playing together. I ($2550) open UTG+1 for $35 w/ K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Button ($1050) makes it $111, BB ($3900) raises to $400. What is your preferred action now? I called, and planned on pushing most flops, button folded. 2 players ($913) Flop: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB bets $800, I raise all-in.... How did I do?

I'm still trying to get a handle on some of these standard NL situations. He called me pretty quickly with aces, and I didn't improve.

I have no idea why you would push the flop. Either he has AA or he is bluffing. So why stop him from bluffing? Also, if you were in the CO, I would like this better. Not saying that it's a fold, but when you're opening from early position, getting re-raised from the BN is more serious, and then the BB's play is certainly strong. It's not like this was a steal/re-steal kinda thing.

Thats a tough hand but the way I see it is that its fairly obvious that he has AA here. He re-reraises in the blind. At this limit you can assume he has something very strong. Best possible scenario is that he has QQ but from the way you described him not doing anything crazy in 2-3 hours you can assume he has AA. It's always hard to give up KK on a flop like that but then again check-folding if he bets strong is usually only a small mistake compared to going all in with the worst hand.

I think I just call for set value and to see if he slows down unless he's been 4-betting like that a lot... maybe just muck preflop. I just don't think he'll have queens or less AND be willing to put in his stack with it >50% of the time
