Want some 70's one?
Heavy -- could mean, that's serious, or just that's groovin, baby, or even, Wow! Last syllable often dragged way way out. Creates added import, some of which may be mind-blowing. Considering the times, that could be very little. Outta sight! -- even white dudes said this a lot in the 70's, thought it sounds more blackpimptacular. Shaka -- make a hand sign by sticking out thumb and pinky at 90 degree angles to each other. Optional is shaking the wrist slightly, while keeping it flat. Denotes recognition and approval. Can also be said as "Shaka, brah!" but ony by those really into it. 90's True dat -- to confirm something as either wisdom or obvious, but usually meant approvingly 20's - 23 skiddoo! I'm not sure anyone ever really knew what this meant, but it may have tie-ins to the Masons. Oocha magoocha! -- said when seeing a hot young thing pass by while sitting out on the stoop in summer with a six-pack of frosty Tall Boys. Native slang(Hawaiian): Da Kine: -- anything you don't want to say or don't understand, especialy if you figure somebody else might. "You live down by da kine? I live deah too. How come I nevah see you?" |
