Spewy ATs hand 100NL 6max
Villain is a TAG, but he's opening a pretty wide range here, especially since SB is a very bad player. I'm trying to incorporate reraising from the blinds into my game, but I think this might be a bad hand to do this with.
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 5 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $133.20 CO: $39.90 Button: $149.90 SB: $300 hero: $96.80 Pre-flop: (5 players) hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises to $3.5</font>, SB folds, <font color="#cc0000">hero raises to $11</font>, Button calls. I think you have to shut down now OOP. You already said it, but ATs isn't the best hand to take a stand with here because it's so difficult to play correctly if you flop an A.

Re: Spewy ATs hand 100NL 6max
Giving up is probably best. Btw, whats up with the small flop bet? How would you bet AA or QQ in this spot?
Reraising AT blows. It's just too hard to make any money with it postflop OOP vs a TAG. I'd much rather reraise 67s than ATs. |

Re: Spewy ATs hand 100NL 6max
I think with AT its better to call preflop. As played, you definitely need to bet more. Even a bet of 2 more to 15, i think makes a world of difference in appearance. As played, the river is a check fold.

I think with AT its better to call preflop. [/ QUOTE ] raise > fold >>> call IMO. AT is a hell of a hard hand to play OOP. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think a lot of it depends on how likely he is to call your preflop raise. If he is likely to call it, then playing ATs is even harder to play out of position because of the escalated pot size. If you call preflop I think leading out on the flop is very effective, and if you have any read on his standard cbets, a check raise can be really really effective. But this blind play stuff is definitely an area where i'm still learning. |

Pf I like because if he doesn't have jack and you bet the flop it gives you the chance to steal the pot. Other option is to call & c/r flop.
c/f turn. |
