the site is slowly growing as it is. Adverstising will help some, but I think when you get the two major issues fixed (hand histories and 4 tabling at limit) it will grow faster. I play exclusivly at WPEX and love it. Those of you who don't think they make $ off poker forget that they keep all you rake in an interest bearing account till Monday morning. A win/win business model if I ever heard of one. Also, "Aces never lose" Wednesday ROCKS! [/ QUOTE ] The two issues you mention will only attract more sharks. In order for the site to really grow you need to advertise to attract the fish. If it is fishy, the sharks will play their regardless of the conditions (see the 50 gazillion posts a day about party sucking yet most play there). |

See how dumb suggestions are given from people with absoulte no business sense. Do you understand why they are offering rake free poker? Are you guys bringing them any extra revenue in their sportsbook? Learn something about bargaining power, morons.

GM, Unfortunately the casual gamer doesn't really understand how rake impacts the game. I suggest that instead of advertising rake free poker, you launch a campaign which deals with something along the lines of "Earn a big honking bonus every Monday just for playing" Bonus is the key word here. Stress the word bonus. It makes casual gamers feel like they are getting something for nothing. Also stress 'every monday'. That will make some of your players remember they are getting paid every monday and have something to look forward to on your site every week. [/ QUOTE ] I think this is a great idea: Giant No Deposit Bonus EVERY Monday Just for Playing |

hand histories on hard drive and I'll be there everyday! [/ QUOTE ] I, for one, don't necessarily mind the emailing hand histories. Unfortunately, there appears to be a somewhat significant delay in either the generation or receipt of the hand history emails. The software is fairly clean and fairly fast (although I do find that keeping my folded cards displayed confuses me many times a session), so I'd like to give my kudos in that respect. I agree with some of what's been said above - in particular, the advertising of a "bonus" or getting "paid to play". I look forward to seeing more players on the site. As the site grows, I hope that I can help keep the tables alive and allow more potential sports bettors to sit down. |

I do not care at all if I don't have instant HH access on my hard drive. But the lack of reliable HHs by email this past week is inexcusable. If HH emails are going to be this unreliable, remove the cap of 100 per email so we don't lose most of our HHs as is currently the case. A fix to this issue is sorely needed.

wow you guys actually get the HHs in your email??
I've requested them about 20 times. Have yet to see one make it to either my email address or even the junk folder. |

The target audience for this SHOULD be the fishies. This is why advertising is so much more important than upgrades to the site. I think you have to offer more tables (not going from 3 to 4...at least 8 would do the trick), but other than that the site is fine. People will play if the fish are there...dependable HH or not. If you get profitable games going (especially in NL) then you will get more people coming to make money off the games. This essentially creates a snowball effect. If you get the player base and table selection then everyone is going to play there. This starts with advertising...not with upgrades. |

is any of this stuff any different than the 9-thousand other threads we have about WPEX? why did we need a new thread to have the sam discussion again?
