Default Mirage 6-12

How has the Mirage 6-12 been playing lately? I'll be staying there soon. Thanks.

Skip this game and go with the 8/16 at Wynn.

Mirage 6/12 is pretty much an old school rock garden. Better then the 10/20 there, but not by much.

I would recommend the 6/12 at CP or Venetian first. CP uses $2 chips and is an action oriented game. V uses $3 chips and is more action at 6/12 then Mirage, but less then CP, generally.

I just got back end of July from a five day trip to the Mirage. Played almost exclusively at the Mirage poker room, and mostly $6-$12 with a sprinkle of $1/$2 No Limit here and there. During the daytime when they get the game started (shortly after 12 or 1 pm) it is pretty tough...I could not seem to get much action on my big hands. At night on Friday and Saturday (after midnight), it loosens up and I took advantage of a few drunks who bought in for a rack and stack ($520). Overall I ended up down $200 bucks (less than one buy in) so I considered it pretty much breaking even. S*h*i*t*t*y!!!!!!!

There are definetly better spots to pick....

If you would have actually read it, you would see that I recommend CPs for action over Venetian.

All biases aside, I can actually be objective, unlike some people (not referring to anyone specific).

I played the Mirage 6-12 on a weekday late night. There was only 1 table going and it was short-handed alot of the time. Definitely tighter then ventian. The $3 chips are horrible tho. I heard the 10-20 game is good at the Mirage, but didnt get a chance to try it.

My sense is that LVM is objective and fair and I much appreciate his insights here...

I played a bunch at the Mirage during the WSOP. The 6/12 was ok, not great, not terrible. The 10/20 was a nitty rock garden full of grinders who didn't talk or smile. The action at the Bellagio was much better at similar limits *IF* you could get the [censored] brush to seat you between all the 'paying' regulars who got put above you on the list.
