Has Buscemi ever made a straight up bad film?

[/ QUOTE ]

quite a few. Armageddon, Con Air, the Adam Sandler comedies...

but he's universally interesting in those films, and usually the one redeeming quality, so it's hard to fault him for being in a [censored] film.

Ghost World is a fantastic film, and Buscemi is perfect in it. Scarlett and Thora Birch are great in it too.

He's definitely a class act. I think some of the best actors on the planet are these guys who always play fringe roles. It seems strange to me, I'd think the best would end up being leading men, but all of my favorites seem to favor secondary characters.

My freinds sister works at a PR firm in New York. Apparently he is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Said he and his wife are among her favorites. Had lunch with them.

Anyone who is in Reservoir Dogs AND Pulp Fiction AND Big Lebowski AND Fargo deserves many attaboys.

But come on, Armageddon is just awful.

I've liked most of his work that I've seen. Some films I haven't noticed being mentioned yet:

Somebody to Love was just a so-so film, but Buscemi was interesting to watch in it.

Parting Glances is simply a classic.

Armageddon and Con Air are horrible movies, although I don't classify either as "Steve Buscemi Movies".
Like others have said, Tree's lounge is really good. I liked Big Fish as well.
Overall, Buscemi has had a solid career and is one of the better (and definately least appreciated) actors around.

Maybe TLDR can give me other suggestions for "never made a clunker" actors....

Maybe I'm biased, but Tim Roth?(although I haven't Dark Water which I heard was bad) This guy can make any movie watchable to me. (ex. Rob Roy w/o Roth would've been an unwatchable lame version of Braveheart)He even made 4 Rooms interesting.

Hasn't been around as long but Christian Bale has had a pretty solid run of good movies as well. Haven't seen some of his earlier stuff yet, but I've liked him in just about everything I've seem him in.

Dark Water is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. This is coming from a guy who loves Armageddon.
