Jumped my Chrysler!!

So hopefully there are some people who know a little about car problems in here, because I have an odd situation I could use some help with. Yesterday, I was following a friend through a mall parking lot, and there was this weird speed bump that was like 1 1/2 feet long and no higher than a normal one, well I hit it going a little too fast and scraped the bottom of the front of my car. Now the check engine light came on. Now the light has come on before, but not for a month or so. I'm wondering what I could have done. FWIW, the car makes no weird noises or anything like that. The only symptom of whatever is wrong is the light itself.

Just put a piece of electrical tape over the light. Problem solved.

Take it to autozone - they'll plug into your car's computer and read the code for free (or at least they used to). They can probably also clear it if it's nothing to worry about.

I think on nearly all newish chryslers you can access the trouble codes by turning the key to accessory, then on, then accessory, then on, then accessory, then on and leave it on. Your check engine light will blink the code - first digit, pause, second digit (or your odometer/computer will display the codes). Now just google your year/make/model and ODB codes and search for it.

This works on my girlfriends 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee and my 2005 Dodge Magnum, so it's been around a while. You have to turn the key kinda quick, and not so far that the car tries to start.
