Default KK out of position

Full Tilt $1-2 NL, I have $180, MP has about the same, BB has $90.

PF: MP limps, I am SB with KK and raise to $12, BB calls, MP calls. Pot = $36

Flop: T98 no suits, I bet $30, BB folds, MP calls
Pot = $96

Turn: 2, I check, MP bets $45, I raise the rest ($90 more).

Thoughts?

bet turn - you don't want him to hit his straight for free; you're not playing for pot control and there is no room for a fold

standard stack-a-donk line right? I think you need a read that MP will do this.

Thanks for the comments guys. Villain called with QT and missed his 9 outer on the river.

I thought about betting the turn, but thought that by doing so I would mostly get action only when beaten. By checking, maybe he puts me on AK and will bet many hands that I beat as well. Also, if turn action goes check/check, I get to play poker on the river depending on the river card.

Am I wrong that the above pros might outweigh the cons of giving a free card if he fails to bet?

I don't like the check-raise. He could have a wide range of hands here. Pairs, Broadway suited, 2 high cards. What kind of a read did you get following his turn bet?
