London Restaurant suggestions
I am heading to London next week and am looking for restaurant suggestions. I did a search over the last two months and didn't come up with anything.
I am looking for good ethnic food, a good traditional English place and some high end places along the lines of Nobu (I have already been to the one in NYC and LV, but along those lines). Also, any cool pub/bar suggestions would be great. I am going to be staying in the Hyde Park area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Phil |

Re: London Restaurant suggestions
I never ate out much in London when I lived there but would say avoid the main Chinese places in China Town, the better places are off the main strip there.
The most high end famous place is the Ivy but suspect that it will be hard to get in there. Gordon Ramsey has a couple of places a net search will probably find them. I suspect Diebitter or Vavavoom will have the best knowledge might be worth a couple of PM's to them as neither seem to frequent OOT these days. http://www.timeout.com/london/ Above is one of best sites for London Info, you can buy it in magazine form once you get here as well, has a load of info and reviews on there. |

Phil,
For a Nobu-like dining experience, I think Nobu London is probably your best bet. As for searching, you seem to suck at it. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...rue#Post5906295 |

Re: London Restaurant suggestions
I posted a whole load of ideas in thread El D linked, but feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
A high-end place I didn't mention before that would be different to you would be Rasoi Vineet Bhatia, which is an extremely upscale Indian with fantastic inventive food. |

Re: London Restaurant suggestions
Not a restaurant per se, but the big food section at Harrod's is definitely worth the trip. Some good stuff there.

Re: London Restaurant suggestions
www.rivercafe.co.uk is another critically acclaimed one.
www.voltlounge.com good for drinks and/or food. www.urbanpath.com/london/cocktail-bars/montgomery-place.htm is meant to be really good although I haven't been there. |
