FWIW, Stardust was advertising daily poker tournaments ($40 I think) on its front marquee. How could they do this without a poker room?

Perhaps my punctuation was a little screwy there. I was referring to Frontier.

A better way to write it would have been: "Rumored to be next on the implosion list after Stardust, the Frontier is a classic old place, that lacks a poker room,....."

Stardust has a small room with 3/6 being thier standard game (and NL at night).

How cheaply can you get TI? If you are going to be playing poker anyway you can get pretty good room rates at several of the nicer casinos (ex. Wynn or Caesars for $119 weekdays and $199 weekends - Bellagio and Venetian a little more). Also, if you liked the Flamingo check with their poker room - I believe you can get pretty good rates there with 5 hrs./day play. My wife and I stayed at TI in May and liked it a lot. Easy access from elevator to street. Also a tram that runs to Mirage front door cuts some of the distance walking down the strip. Roooms are nice. Pool area is OK, but pool is quite small for such a large hotel. It's like an apartment complex pool, but with more chairs. Flamingo by contrast has an excellent pool complex (I'll be staying there week after next).

Poker room at TI is separated from casino in the back hallway across from Mystere theater with easy access to the Mirage tram (up the escalator).

Another thing I like about TI is that it's right across the ped bridge from Venetian, which has a really good selection of restaurants.

I'd go for TI if it's cheaper (usually it isn't), unless a big fancy pool is really a high priority.

TI is fine. Best choice of those you mentioned overall (considering price, location, etc).

As already mentioned TI is great location-wise for big poker room neighbours.

The poker room at the TI is small, but enthusiastically and pleasantly run, which is a departure from some that you will find on the strip. They try to spread a few unusual games, including crazy pineapple, which will appeal to some.

My favourite part about the TI is the buffet, which I think is the best mid-priced buffet on the strip. Great quality food for about $16 for lunch.

Also don't forget that TI have the most beutiful pokermanager i ever seen, Jessica(?) Gonzales was her name i think. I Also liked the daily MTT ($60) pretty good structure and many loose players, to bad that i just played it once.
