Re: wow i hate live poker
[ QUOTE ]
Internet poker is alleged by many self-serving politicians to be illegal in the US, using arcane and contorted interpretations of laws about telegraphs. [/ QUOTE ] FYP. But I won't lie, the legal issue is one reason why I'd rather tailor my game to B&M and consider online a training/bankroll tool. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] 6. My risk of contracting a communicable disease is much less in my house than if I am handling virus infested chips. ... 8. Better selection of food. Also, I can eat while playing without running a MAJOR risk of disease. [/ QUOTE ] Tape up those windows, Howard. The germs will get you. [/ QUOTE ] Even Howard Hughes liked B&M casinos, otherwise he wouldn't have bought so many of them. |

Re: wow i hate live poker
My edge is way bigger in live poker. I suspect the tells, plus all the [censored] that I'm too lazy to do online (actually observe players, etc.) boost my winrate at least 1BB/100 live.
However, it's still more +EV for me to play online. Playing higher stakes with a bigger edge just can't overcome seeing 1/8 the hands I see online. |

Re: wow i hate live poker
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I'd have to consider as suspect at best anyone who preferred sitting in front of their computer playing internet poker to actually playing poker in a casino with other live human beings. [/ QUOTE ] Most people you meet in casinos aren't worth spending time with, and a revoltingly high percentage of them are throbbing a-holes. You can't turn off chat in a casino. [/ QUOTE ] There are a lot of [censored], and you can't jack off while playing live, either. I'm a social guy, though, and I much prefer chatting away at a table than sitting in front of a computer. I suspect most of 2+2 holds your opinion, though. |

[/ QUOTE ] LOL classic. I like playing live better because I'm good at reading people and live games are far softer. That said online is a much better place to learn how to play good poker and is more profitable in relation to game size/bankroll. |

Online has alot of perks, obviously, but there's nothing like seeing a donkey's face after you check-raise em' all in on the river.

Re: wow i hate live poker
i think both suck now. live is great because the action is so loose, online is fun because so many tables can be played u dont sit there bored for two minutes a hand doing nothing. however, now online has gotten so tight, and live is just sooo slow, and LA dealers suck, so both have lost a lot of the fun value they used to have for me.
