Default Cheap March Madness trip (Strip)

I have rooms at Bellagio from 3/14-3/19 but may be going by myself as opposed to the normal group I travel with. I'll be playing at Bellagio, MGM and possibly Wynn the whole time. Thinking of saving some bucks and staying close to the strip but cheap. Have danced around the internet and only been able to come up with The Orleans or Gold Coast for about $550 for the 5 nights total. I don't want to stay too far from center strip as cab rides and convenience could eat up any savings.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Kevin

Try Flamingo or Imperial Palace, although it might be too late for rooms during that time. Is that during the beginning of the tournament? If so, I would think many rooms would be booked by now.

I've heard rumors that at the Bellagio if you ask for the poker rate and then play a ton of hours you have a good chance of getting even further reduced rate....

If you want to stay off the Strip, try:

1. Westin (1/4 mile off)
2. Tuscany (1/2 mile)
3. Terrible's (1 mile)

All three of these are on Flamingo road and east of the Strip

I've never stayed there. So, perhaps you'd like to enlighten us to the problems you know about.

As far as I know, the rooms are clean and the bathrooms work. That's what the OP seems to be looking for.

It's just...Terrible's, you know? Ugh. I have never stayed there, but I cannot imagine spending a night in that place. I would almost rather stay at Circus Circus.

Alright, that might be stretching it a bit.

Anyway, The Orleans is clean and at least decent to stay in, and the Stratosphere is alright too (despite everyone hating it, I don't mind it so much). Not too many places are going to be cheap enough near the center of the strip, though. I would just suck it up and stay at the Wynn because it's that good (get a poker rate, only $129/night during the week).

No. You aren't making any sense at all.

Terrible's is a small hotel a mile off the Strip. It's cheap by Vegas standards and would appear to offer the OP everything he wants (including a bus line which stops at the Strip).

I am not certain you can use the words cheap and March in the same sentance when discussing Las Vegas.

For the 5-6 hours a day I'll be in my room, is there any feedback on the Gold Coast, or is the Orleans prefered for the extra $5 a day?
