i'm challenged to think of many realistic things that i would find a 'value' if they required putting publicly circulated currency in my mouth. the scenario you described is no exception.

Just a note on the "membership" thing. The cover used to be $10, but the government brought in a stupid no smoking in bars law. It doesn't apply to private clubs. Therefore, you have to buy a membership to their private club to get in the bar, and smoke.
