Re: Should I have said something
I spoke up and let the dealer know before the cards went into the muck. She gave them back to the player and I folded.

Re: Should I have said something
Two things I see...
1) If he just said "Raise" and threw in a $1000, at most casinos that means a minimum raise...so the bet is $200. I'm not sure if that is the WSOP rule or that the player didn't actually say, "I raise to $1000" but just thought I'd point that out. 2) Goddamn, you are one tight mofo. You have a premium hand and the blind is likely just trying to steal the limp money and you fold? |

Re: Should I have said something
If he's read HoH, Harrington says that if you're willing to steal limps, you must have a decent hand that you're willing to play heads up. He probably had AK/AQ/AJ/KQ or even AA/KK/QQ. If he's trying to steal with junk, well, there are many things you can do. With no reads, a fold is not a bad play.

Re: Should I have said something
He was very nervously playing with his chips. Not shuffling but stacking and unstacking 4 chips. It was pretty clear he had something he was playing to the end.
When the table broke I asked him what he held and responded with KK. |

Re: Should I have said something
Mistakes are made so these sort of things will happen.
I'd anounce raise so that you'll be bargaining from strength. Let the other guy call the floor. See what happens. You probably have more equity in the pot by raising. |
