Default I have half my stack in the big blind, easy call?

This is a hand from Party's $6 "1k added" I played last night. I thought this would be a good tournament since the prize pool was greater than the sum of the entry fees. However, I had no idea when I signed up that it was going to be a *limit* tournament. Unfortunately, I am not a limit tournament poker conassour and need some help.

My table was loose and crazy for the most part (most pots being multi-way and going 4 bets pre-flop). After the first break the blinds were fairly big and the action settled a bit. It was around this time when the following hand came up.

Party Poker Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind t600 (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

UTG+1 (t24860)
UTG+2 (t545)
MP1 (t16335)
MP2 (t1810)
MP3 (t37530)
CO (t15200)
Button (t11470)
SB (t1650)
Hero (t1230)
UTG (t1570)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J, 8.
1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls [t545] , 1 fold</font>, MP2 calls, 1 fold</font>, CO raises</font>, 2 folds</font>

I have 1230 in tournament chips, and I'm in the big blind for 600. There's 3 limpers (one limps all-in for 545) and then a raise to me, so there's 3,545 in the pot and I have 630 in chips left.

However, I think it's safe to assume that the two active players with money left are not going to fold to the raise. So really there is 4835 in the pot and it costs me 630 to call. That's pot odds of 7.6:1 which seems fantastic, although I am up against 4 opponents. Do I have enough pot-equity with J8o to call? There are 232 players left in the tournament (767 started) and only the top 100 get paid.

Side-discussion question: Where does the money come from for this tournament? 767 players bought in for $6 ($5 for tournament, $1 entry fee) yet there was $4,835 in the prize pool. In other words, Party collected $767 in entry fees, and then turned around and added $1,000 to the prize pool. If less than 1,000 people enter this tournament (as was the case this time) does Partypoker lose money?

Easy call here.

I think the sites do the money added thing as a promotion and don't mind eating the cost.

Call blind and only expose your cards at the very end, it is more fun like that.

You are prolly better off avoiding this situation by playing an earlier hand. In a LHE MTT, once you get to 3.5BBs, the next hand you play commits you. You would have been better off open raising any 2 in late position and running the bluff through to the end. As played, call.

Yeah, most sites lose money on the "XK added" tourneys. They make it back in other ways, like collecting $15 FEE from each of 7,500 entrants to the weekly Party Million tourney (It's a $200+15 buyin)... I'll spare you the math - it's $112K from one tourney . They can afford to donate $1K to the $6 tourney...

Edit : Call. Actually, raise all-in.
