33s: JJ limp reraised with a short stack all in
30/60 blind round
1900 stack limps UTG I raise to 275. (stack of 1920) Short stack behind me goes all in for 500. UTG pushes. Easy fold? |

WAYY to big rasie. Make it 180. Fold to the re-raise from UTG assuming it will put you all in. A HH is much nicer than this.

Re: 33s: JJ limp reraised with a short stack all in
I'd rather play poker than try to crack the code that is party hhs right now. The converters on two different sites crapped their pants when I tried to convert.
The blinds are 30/60, UTG limps, and you make it 180 with JJ? I generally go 3 or 4 times the BB, and add a BB for a limper. Yes, our stacks were both 1900ish, so he would've put me in. |

I'd love for someone from the morning crowd to backup or refute Whisper's preflop advice. Help the noob, plz.

What position are you in?

Re: 33s: JJ limp reraised with a short stack all in
240 pf would be fine. 275 is slight overkill but nothing major. Limp-reraiser could just be trying to isolate the shorty, but could also have you crushed here. I just fold, but you do see smaller pairs here a significant amount of the time.

Re: 33s: JJ limp reraised with a short stack all in
Pre-flop doesn't look bad to me. 240 is probably what I'd raise. 275 is definitely not "WAYY to big rasie."
I probably fold, but I'm not happy about it. 10's, 9's and AK wouldn't surprise me there at all. |
