Default Independant Films

What are some of the best independant films you have seen so far. Also can anyone tell me what the name to a movie is that has a plot similar to Garden State.

Little Miss Sunshine is the best movie I've seen in a long time. Though, it's hard to call these indie flicks anymore with some of the big stars that are now doing these films.

I wouldn't call any of the actors "Big stars"... Carrell has, since filming that movie, become pretty big but Greg Kinnear and Toni Collette aren't ridiculously big names.

But ya, I pretty much think it's the best movie I've seen this year. That or Thank You for Smoking.

Just watched the trailer for LMS

I think I would be bored to tears

I dont think I can stand a movie that centers around a "dysfunctional family that ends up learning a lesson about life... AND EACH OTHER"

feh, seen it

Pi
The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover

Not sure if this one is "out" yet because I just saw it a few months ago at an indie film festival in Boston, but "Edmund". One of William H. Macy's best performances IMO.
