Default Overpair against a cap

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 9, 9.
Hero calls, 1 fold[/]MP1 raises</font>, [color=#CC3333]MP2 3-bets 5 folds</font>, Hero calls, MP1 calls.

Flop: (10.50 SB) 2, 6, 4(3 players)</font>
Hero checks, MP1 checks, MP2 bets</font>, Hero raises, MP1 3-bets, MP2 caps, Hero ???

how to play that and why?

*grunch*

9's are probably strong enough to raise, even from EP, though calling is okay, too. Once it is two bets back to you on either street, you should fold. If you are not behind now, you have a good chance to be in the near future.

I would still see the flop, because if you do hit a set you likely have a lot of implied odds against likely overpair here. I think the flop is a check/fold baring superaggro reads/stats. Even then you arent in good shape. Fold is the safe play.
