So here\'s a question (LC?)
There's a player in my DB who is 96/14/.51, with a wtsd of 34 and a w$sd of 60. So he plays every hand, shows down a third of the hands that are dealt, and wins most of them. He is up a fair amount in my DB, over 170 hands. 3 questions:
1. How many hands would you need to have to be pretty sure that there was something screwy going on? 2. If you knew that his only advantage was that he could see everyone else's hole cards in addition to his own, could you get it so that you had an advantage? 3. If you knew that his only advantage was that he could see what the board would be before the hand, could you get it so that you had an advantage? |

Re: So here\'s a question (LC?)
1. dunno, a lot
2. no, unless he has no idea what to do with the information. 3. no. he knows preflop what his hand is going to be after the river. he gets to capitalize preflop, flop, and turn for his final made hands. he has a sickening edge being able to do this. |

Man, yeah, 170 hands, that's quite a bit. definitely probably rigged. I think anything after 100 hands is probably suspect amirite.
also, uh, I think the answer to two and three are yes, you could beat him up and take his money |

Plays 96% of hands, how can he win 60% of showdowns? I thought that looked so weird. Sure, 170 hands, but I would figure that number would converge very quickly for someone who plays every hand. |

1. How many hands would you need to have to be pretty sure that there was something screwy going on? [/ QUOTE ] I'd say 50K for W$SD [ QUOTE ] 2. If you knew that his only advantage was that he could see everyone else's hole cards in addition to his own, could you get it so that you had an advantage? [/ QUOTE ] No [ QUOTE ] 3. If you knew that his only advantage was that he could see what the board would be before the hand, could you get it so that you had an advantage? [/ QUOTE ] well obviously he won't see every flop if he know what was coming. This is a pretty pointless discussion in general. I love "LC?" What exactly is the question? |

Re: So here\'s a question (LC?)
How many players do you have in your DB? 10k or more? Is it conceivable to think that 1 in 10,000 players may show stats like that?

Re: So here\'s a question (LC?)
i thought #3 was assuming he still saw 96% of flops anyway but obviously gets away from hands that will end up being weak at the end.
