SB is a solid player, BB is a bit loose and pushed with many speculative hands. I figure if I call SB can call with his big stack and he's shown he has a decent hand already. If I fold, I will either get a guaranteed second playing heads up with a low stack against a solid player, or I will be left with a low stack vs these two guys. The one thing favorable is that BB has less chips than me and I don't mind SB winning the hand and me getting second. Do the circumstances change in this hand if BB has me covered?

Why did you raise to 4xBB? I'd just fold it.

Why did you raise to 4xBB? I'd just fold it. [/ QUOTE ] You'd fold ATo from the button 3 handed, What would have to have to open there? Anyways I don't agree. I probably fold here and hope the big stack wipes out the All-in. You might be folding the best hand but I think it's worth it, if you acn get the shorty to bust while still having ~30K in chips you just need 2 Double ups to be back wrist deep in the action with 120K and heads up that can happen on back to back hands regardless of what the cards are. If You fold and the biggy folds then your kinda in trouble but you still have 30K in chips and aren't out of it yet. |

I definitely wouldn't of bet 4bb's, and I would like to get heads up to increase my chances of winning. So I would of bet 2.5 to 3 bets, and when that guy came over the top, I would let the other guys go at it.

Cram now, but you damn well did it to yourself by opening for so much preflop.

And who says SB is automatically going to win the hand?

Noooooooooooooooooo. I mean I would raise to 3xBB with ATo in this position but I would fold to the re-raise all-in.

This is an absolute fold. The BB is telling you you're beat, don't fight it. And yeah a smaller opening raise next time.

Is it a mistake to jam preflop? I dunno, I just haaaaaaaaaaaaate betting 1/4 my stack only to have to fold with the action (which, I believe is correct in this spot.) I also agree w/JCool - if you're not gonna jam preflop, raise to 9k.
