I listened to Danny N's commentary and it was great

really good analysis and could be one of the best teaching tools available for how to approach the table from both metagame and hand-by-hand. If you sync it with the video, you will be impressed.

He didn't rage against bad plays, but you could tell when he thought something was poor even without him saying it explicitly.

Phil Gordon was a douche in his WSOP commentary. He just had this condescending tone in respect to the players plays like he knew better than all of them. Especially towards Gold, where it seems at times he's putting him down and basically calling him a donkey if you can read/hear between the lines. Whenever Gordon posed questions towards ppl like Jesus and Harman critizing Gold, they were way more understanding and diplomatic.

I didn't like it, overall I just found him very arrogant and elitist.

Once AC went out it was all about who was going to win the rps final.

I'm going rock.

What was DN's read on Gold? How did he know he was bluffing? Did it seem like he wants another crack at him?

The fact is that Gordon himself isn't a very good tourny player. I suspect he's way too straightforward. He's capapble of running over total passive donks, but good players probably snap him off constantly. What was his last tourny result of note?

Gordon is a very good player but i dont think he's in the really elite group. The truth of the matter though he probably has not played anywhere close to the amount of poker that Hellmuth, Negearnu, Ivey etc. has played. Plus, i dont he's ever played for a living.
So yeah he probably is one of the best hobbiest type players (although Gohring is probably the best of this group).
I would expect Negreanu's commentary to be better and if fariness Gordon is a very good player but hes not top 10.
