Mediocre Bands With One Great Song

I love "Here's Where the Story Ends" by the Sundays. Wonderful song. I remember buying the album and being terribly dissapointed.

muse, by your own admission and my agreement, are not mediocre. that is some serious musicianship going on, particularly matt bellamy. both his guitar work and vocals are really complicated and involved (and interesting) and not easy to pull off at the same time. i just saw them this weekedend and they were flawless, spot on and any deviations from the albulm versions of thier songs were improvements. total pros.

maps is a cool tune, they have another song called modern romance. at keast i think thats what it's called, i dl'ed it as "track 11" but seems like modern romance would be a likely title.

No doubt.. Clocks is awesome. I'm not a monster Coldplay fan, but that's a great song. One of the best piano riffs in a pop song in recent memory. Also, I saw them live when they came through OKC (mainly for the wife, who likes them a lot) and they put on an awesome live show.
