Default Cleveland charity games

Link. Has anyone gone to these? $15/hr sounds like a lot for 10/20 but given no dealer tipping I think it works out to a little worse than $10/hr in AC.

Yeah, I go every weekend. To be honest, the seat fees are a bit pricey, considering that you don't get nearly as many hands most of the time due to volunteer dealers. At the same time, the quality of play is generally not high. I myself tend to stick to the 5/10 game, which is even pricier considering the seat fee is the same. Regardless, there are always 2-4 10/20 games (with a full kill) and the action moves quite fast at 10/20. The players aren't that great and there's a lot of money on the tables. If you are a decent player with some bank, you should be able to crack the game. I'm a decent player without the bank (I got cold decked last night and won 1 hand in a 5.5 hour stretch).

Sorry to bitch. But the games are definitely worth a look. Lately they've been somewhat short on dealers, which makes wait times a little longer, but it's still not bad, maybe 40 minutes at the most. PM me if you want any more info.

I have not played in the games but did go down to check it out a few weeks ago. The 10/20 did look soft, but the volunteer dealers and lack of chips (bets are in cash) kept me from bothering since I normally play higher limits online and live. I think it is also a strange blind structure with only one blind or something like that.

Go to the ones in akron. They only charge $5 max rake ($6 per half hour time charge at 2/2/5 nl) and spread both limit and nl. Plus the games are full of degenerate retards.

Dave - its 170 miles to Detroit, there are some very good 10/20 games that spread at Motor City in the evening. The dealers suck, but thats ok because so do the opponents. Thats like a day trip to AC for you now, it sounds reasonable. There are a few casinos in Detroit, plus another one right on the other side of the border in Canada.

Dave, I hear there is poker on the internet, maybe you should try it. It's all rigged though.
