Re: Thoughts on Cunningham\'s fold to Wasicka
Cunningham said that he was trying to get Jx to fold. But it's much easier to get Jx to fold on the river. I would have called the turn and evaluated river.. raising there with TT is bad, your hand could be good and you can bluff Jx on the river. If he had 22 it's a lot better play imo.

Re: Thoughts on Cunningham\'s fold to Wasicka
[ QUOTE ]
More importantly, where on earth did Wasick's play come from? Is he just seeing AC's bet-size and determining it must be a bluff? I really don't see it. [/ QUOTE ] prolly because he doesn't expect cunningham to check a big aace on the flop, and he's not raising a hand like A6/JT with showdown value on the turn. |

Re: Thoughts on Cunningham\'s fold to Wasicka
I think it was pretty obvious to everyone that no one had an Ace (whoever did would probably have bet the flop with the 3 hearts on board).
The fact that a 2nd ace comes on the turn makes it even more unlikely. |

I hadn't seen anything up to this point to suggest Wasicka was capable of that kind of bluff. I don't see how Cunningham can call with TT. [/ QUOTE ] Bingo. |

Re: Thoughts on Cunningham\'s fold to Wasicka
[ QUOTE ]
It would make no sense for AC to go all-in on the turn. He'll only be called by a hand that beats him. Granted, Waskicka was behind the entire hand, but against most players, AC's play would've gotten an easy fold. Waskicka made a great play, end of story. [/ QUOTE ] I didn't say he should have moved in. I think he should have kept the pot small (instead of committing 40% of his stack) and then revaluated on the river. I agree it was a good play by Wasicka. |

Re: Thoughts on Cunningham\'s fold to Wasicka
EK,
Of course he folds. The play was reasonable and he had absolutely no reason to believe Wasicka would do something like that without a much, much stronger hand than his. |

Re: Thoughts on Cunningham\'s fold to Wasicka
Wasicka could easily have him drawing to 2 outs or dead. Gordon was saying he had A Kh because that's the only kind of hand that can check the flop and comfortably raise the turn. I am not sure why Cunningham decided to turn his hand into an odd semi bluff with no showdown value - I guess he figured Wasicka had been playing so weak-tight that he would lay down a naked jack, but would he bet a naked jack too? Is Wasicka really laying down something like Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J?

Re: Thoughts on Cunningham\'s fold to Wasicka
anyone who says they would call with TT in that spot is either lying, or is a bad player.
