He would of had to three bet your with A 10 suited or worse. If he's solid like you say you have to reraise that turn or smooth call and check raise the river. I prefer putting in the bets when you have the best hand which is on the turn. Very unlikely to have the ace high flush if he's a solid player. Either way don't be weak tight and pop him one more time.

and i agree with everyone here that A10 is not in nick's range given his line so far. so given that information, i feel that nick would not 4-bet the turn with an overpair here unless it included a diamond that beats the board.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree. Doesn't the hand really suggest AA with the A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]?

Did you consider c/r on the turn. What are the pros and cons?

i'd say nick plays that game very well and value bets in multi-way pots with the best of them, but as far as playing in pots with other thinking opponents (which is rare in that game when its good) i dont think hes that special at all.

I disagree. I heard he's way off his game and then witnessed it. I played with him the last time I was there and he played bad. There were a few hands where I could not believe how badly he played.

I think calling him a solid winning player is selling him a little short. He's as good as it gets in the Foxwoods 20/40 Hold'em game.

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed very good player - but the guy must hit his sets 60-70% of the time - Hardly ever misses a flop -- he is the mayor of the room --- they always call a new game when he walks in the door

how do people playing 20-40 not understand how to play? I mean, you don't want to blast out the early limpers, I get that, but it goes bet, call, call and you have damn near the nuts.

Check raise the flop, geez.
