Speaking of e-bay auctions, how about this guy who's auctioning off 2% of his lifetime earnings for college money.

[/ QUOTE ]

lol, he thinks an investor's break-even point is if this kid is making 125k a year.

I just asked him what he's going to do about inflation.

Yeah that guy is a complete retarded douche, but unintentially hilarious though:

"Your ending comment was very rood and insensitive. I am going to make tons of money and if you believe me you can ride the wave, if not than I guess it is your loss. If I were even considering selling a whopping 15 % of myself, I would go for millions, because I am worth it. For 10% I would ask $500,000, (or more)"

"I do make some spelling mistakes, but I don't plan on being an English major."

The Sweet Irony:

"I want succeed, and I will. I am going to study communications"

And, there is this line: "Where else can you invest in something that pays off every year and has the potential of making you over six times your money? Not the stock market, not real-estate, definitely not gambling."

I am taking it that he has never visited this site...

Apparently the SAT's don't ask about compounding rates of return. Making 6x on your money in 40 years = ~4.585% on your money. I can stick my 100k in Emmigrant and get a better return.

(PS - Should we tell him that putting our $100k in the dow jones index would put us at something close to $8mil in 40 years?)

Did the SAT change its scoring system? I believe that a 1550 is a combination of scores from 3 areas now (not just the two sections that I think most of us are familiar with). If so, that reduces his score to about a 515 for each section. Terrible.
