Should I have pushed set harder on flop and turn
Full Tilt Poker

Results: Final pot: $17.5 According to PokerTracker UTG guy was very aggressive with a VI$P over 50 and an aggression factor of 1.4. From watching his play after this, he definitely never met 2 suited cards he didn't like. I have a feeling the opinion here will be "go all in on the flop (or turn)" but with a flush draw like that isn't that extremely risky. I want to chalk this hand as "Not much I can do" but I am pretty sure I did something wrong. Looking at the turn, my 55% of the pot bet looks really bad now. Thoughts. Re: Should I have pushed set harder on flop and turn
First of all: Reload! You always want to have a full stack.
2nd: this isn't a set, but trips which is a weaker hand because it's much more obvious and other people can have you outkicked (not here off course). You need to raise way more on the flop, at least to 5. After that the turn is an easy push. It's never risky to get your money in when you're ahead. If by "risky" you mean you'll loose a certain amount of the time, sure, but that's poker. |

Re: Should I have pushed set harder on flop and turn
Make a Pot sized raise on the flop, and get it in on the turn. You are allowing anyone to draw for cheap.
This is not a time to bet small in hopes of brining someone along. Bet appropriately and if he wants to play so be it, if not, oh well. |

Re: Should I have pushed set harder on flop and turn
How many other people raise this preflop? I'm raising this almost every time but I'm a 6max player. That said I can't see any reason why this is any different to UTG limping in 6max and my having A6s in the cut off.

Re: Should I have pushed set harder on flop and turn
Completely agree, should have bet more on the flop so that you can push the turn...should you even be calling here CO? raise or fold I think.
