Re: WSOP 2006 ME Final Table on Pay-Per-View
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I love poker, I love watching high stakes poker on GSN. But watching any event on tv without being able to see what each player has is not bearable. For me this is totally unwatchable. [/ QUOTE ] I would normally agree, except this is a live FT of the Main Event. Watching it listening to various pro's commenting will surely beat hitting the F5 key on the Cardplayer page. [/ QUOTE ] Cardplayer will have live audio coverage, just like last year. |

Actually, Bluff will have live audio coverage on Sirius, NOT Card Player.

Re: WSOP 2006 ME Final Table on Pay-Per-View
[ QUOTE ]
Why would it be that hard to show hole card cams? Full Tilt does it all the time on foxsports. [/ QUOTE ] FSN employs a LOT more technology at the televised poker table than ESPN does. Furthermore, FSN delays the "live" feed by 5 minutes and FSN isolates the players from the audience during the breaks. There is no way ESPN can do that at the WSOP Main Event Final Table because the players will have at least one long dinner break (of 90 minutes). There is also the (remote) possibility that the WSOP Main Event Final Table will have to be split into two days. -- At this point, DirecTV in the US and Viewers Choice Canada has signed on to carry the WSOP ME FT PPV. I don't believe either iNDemand (COX, Time Warner, Comcast) or DISH Network have signed. |

Re: WSOP 2006 ME Final Table on Pay-Per-View
FWIW, I ordered this last night and have it set to record on my DVR.
I'm using Comcast, it's on channel 7 hundred and something, so look around there. |

I couldn't find it on Comcast PPV (digital). I even called Comcast and they know nothing about it. Frustrating as hell.

Re: WSOP 2006 ME Final Table on Pay-Per-View
TimeWarner has it listed in the channel guide as being from 5:00 - 11:00 which would be until 8pm Vegas time... what do you think the chances are of Time Warner showing it until there is a champion?

[/ QUOTE ] Mine is listed as 5p-11a. Anyway, I suspect it'll just get chopped off. It was a fiasco just getting the freakin' thing to work in the first place, what with the time switch on Comcast. |

[/ QUOTE ] In case you didn't figure it out yet, and if you still want to pay, the solution is to call Comcast and request that they activate the THREE p.m. broadcast. They changed the time and it screwed everything up. This solved it for me (Atlanta). |
