Default 400NL: TP+FD

Only played one orbit with villain. He's limped a few times, but hasn't raised preflop. I've seen him open-limp Ax on the button, and he checked behind on the river with two pair one hand on a non-threatening board.

No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $2/$4
5 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $44.40
CO: $498.90
Hero: $349.40
SB: $434
BB: $369.30

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG calls, CO calls, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $24</font>, 3 folds, CO calls.

Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($58, 2 players)
CO checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $40</font>, <font color="#cc0000">CO raises to $80</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero ???</font>

Obviously I have to at least call here. Should I call and reevaluate turn or just push flop?

Just call here, and take pot odds. A raise from you is basically all in, and villain doesnt call unless you're beaten. He looks to be on better Queen, and I dont usually like to try to push passive villains off top pair when they've c/r me.

Call. You're getting good odds and are in position. I'd be more inclined to raise if you were OoP.

This seems so obvious now. I need to think more when I play. Sorry, folks, not a very interesting hand.

He had J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Certainly in the range of a weak-tite dude. Why did you think you had to call? Well, yeah, I'm probably looking at a turn, thinking I may get it all, maybe.
