Default (16$) Tough spot with 99

I didn't think I had much fe pf for some reason, but I knew my hand was too strong to fold. I was going to play differently according to the flop.


PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t200 with t25 antes (4 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

CO (t5555)
Button (t2595)
SB (t3280)
Hero (t2070)

Preflop: Hero is in BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
<font color="gray">CO folds</font>, <font color="red">Button raises to t400</font>, <font color="gray">SB folds</font>, Hero calls t200

Flop: (t1000) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Well, what exactly was your plan on a threatening flop? Check/fold down with 1/5 of your stack invested? I don't think there's any way that calling this is better than pushing, esp. at a 16$.

Push preflop. Too many unfriendly flops can occur, which will really [censored] with you.
