www.pokerinreno.com

Most of the poker there is 2/4 and 1/2 NL just to warn ya. There is an occasional 10/20 limit at the Peppermill and that's about it.

I just went to Reno in June. It's like all the decent size games are only played across the border or down in Vegas. Peppermill might have a 10/20 going on a Saturday night, but other than that, the best you're going to get is a 4/8 kill game at Peppermill or El Dorado. Peppermill is a no-smoking room, and (to me) is nicer than El Dorado.

I don't remember seeing a 10/20 at Peppermill last time I was there, so it prob is occasional. The 6/12 game there (blech) was nitty and not very fun. Craps and BJ FTW.

The Reno Hilton has a decent room (reminds me of a slightly cleaner version of Stardust). It usually spreads 4/8 with a full kill and has a mainly locals base with a lot of tourists as well. NL during peak hours/weekends.

Going to Reno for poker is like going to Fargo for windsurfing.

i didn't know fargo had such good windsurfing.

The peppermill recently raised the rake to $4 per hand and it has killed some of their action. They spread a 1/2 or 2/3 NL game most of the time. Many of us keep trying to get a 3-5 game going but it is rare. They haven't spread a red chip limit game in quite a while.

El Dorado has the biggest NL game usually, 2-3-5 with 10 to go.

Low limit 2-4, 3-6, 4-8 can be found at Atlantis, Hilton, El Dorado among others.
