OP -

At least get the name of it right ffs! You're talking about Powertools not Pokertracker moron. Every point you made about it is wrong and I don't see why anyone on here should tell you why you are soo wrong since your such an ass who won't listen to other peoples views.

Their is a private table for only 2+2ers called "Atlantic Trout", it's a $11 Sng where you can prove to us how much you pwn, I can garuntee none of us will use any software to give us an edge.

I know $11 games are really high stakes and only reserved for the cream of the poker crop, but Im sure you can get it in there and gamble. It starts in 30 mins, GL. Link to game info.

Be sure to report back and tell us how it went.

Alright,

My last post, which has since been locked, was apparently too harsh, insulting, and trolling. Insults aside, I think that there should be a discussion on the usage of Pokertracker and how useful it really is. Here are my issues:

1)if you don't know the math, if you don't know the probabilities and if the pot odds are paying you enough for your draws and need a computer to tell you what they are...then you really shouldn't be playing this game.

2)As for information of other players, if you are at a table for 15 minutes, and can't guage who is aggressive, who is tight, who is hyper, who is passive, then you aren't paying enough attention to the game. I really don't think you need a software package to tell you these things. These things should be obvious by mere observation.

3)In reality, there is the the mathematically correct play and then there is the "right" play. Most of the time they do coincide. But there are situations where they do not. To paraphrase Doyle "you gotta get in there and gamble if you want to be a big winner". So, no, you may not have the mathematical edge in some situations, sometimes it literally is a coinflip. But you have to take those chances to move up the ladder.

Playing WITHOUT Pokertracker will force you to become a better player. Playing with Pokertracker just creates more dependance on someone else thinking for you.

As an aside, I think a challenge is due. $5 sng at Pokerstars, we should have a room half on Pokertracker half on their own. Let's see what happens.

The Hun.
