what would you do?
Would like some thoughts on this hand at a live MTT .
Second round - blinds are 25/50 20 min rounds Relevant stacks UTG ~4500 MP1 ~2300 LP ~5200 Hero ~3400 Hero is on the button Despite the early stage there has been a lot of action and you have reads on many players at the table. UTG - has over raised the pot on three occasions, 250 with blinds at 25/25. He’s gotten one caller each time and in every case his flop bet was not called. The pace/flow of the hand seems to point to a continuation bet and his opponents didn’t connect.. He hasn’t shown a hand but the overbets just don’t ring of strong hands. MP1 – No reads other than he does seem to give real thought into his decisions. He’s folded a couple hands that have gone to the turn, maybe one river. LP – Gambler. Young kid. Has shown A6o,Q7o, K9o has hit some flops and won some hands. He was one of the players who folded to a UTG continuation bet. He wants to play hands. Hero – has played one hand, limped into multi limped pot and folded to a pre-flop raise. Action UTG raises to 250 Fold MP1 calls 250 Fold Fold LP calls 250 Fold Hero QhQd What’s your play? |

Re: what would you do?
I would push allin. You dont want to play this 4 handed, so the only option is large raise (about 1500), but in this case you are pot committed, so it is better to go allin.

Re: what would you do?
flat-call for set/overpair value.
You need to raise to at least 1,000 to isolate anyone and that would pretty much pot-commit you. |

Re: what would you do?
I thought about calling here but I had to believe I had the best hand. I put in a raise and by the responses here and elsewhere It wasn't enough. I made it 750 to go.
UTG calls MP1 calls LP Raises 500 What do you do? |
