Hero (t4710)

Preflop: Hero is in BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
<font color="gray">CO folds</font>, <font color="red">Button raises to t1000</font>, <font color="gray">SB folds</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises 1400 to 1800</font>, <font color="red">Button raises 1531 to 2531</font>, Hero calls t731



Did I play this right? I thought the raiser was fairly loose.

If your read was correct u should have just pushed all-in to his orginal raise given that you have FE if he was stealing. The way it was played you did not utilise the fact you had him covered.

I don't like this play at all. If you are trying to resteal you need to push or you are giving away a lot of FE. As played I would muck to his push, I can't imagine you being ahead here.
