And lol at tipping for a freeroll donkaments

[/ QUOTE ] It's a freeroll for gods sake. No money is taken out for the dealers. If the dealers did a good job and your happy you had a chance to win money for FREE than TIP!
[ QUOTE ]
Players should not be responsible for dealer's wages.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree. The dealers wage effective immediatly is now $30 an hour. The rake has been increased to $12 per player per half and you have to play 12 hours for a $5 meal comp. Happy?

[/ QUOTE ]

Dealers should not make $30 an hour

And even the rate was $30 an hour, they would be getting a pay-CUT rather than a pay-raise.

Didn't TT already say that he didn't want this thread to go down this path. He was write saying that these threads bring out the worst in people. I merely wanted a general idea for a tip in this situation.

The way you describe this tournament sounds like a con and is almost certainly very illegal. I thought you were playing in a legitimate tournament when I made my first post. In the case you are describing, I would have no problem giving no tip since you are already being fleeced just by playing in this. Take all of what you won and don't go back.

I don't understand your rational, nothing in this thread or the OP's post makes me think there was anything shady about the freeroll. Why do you think there is a problem?

Worst response ever. The place is not a casino but a poker room. Why do you say no tip? They provide the same basic comps as casinos with free drinks and food in the early afternoon. They will also order food for you. They deal games well and have a steady player base.

Need more information.

How many dealers were involved and for how long? i.e. How long did it go at 4 tables, 3 tables, 2 tables and then the final table?
