Default Card Player Coverage.

Whether or not I like or dislike their coverage, I can at least understand the economics of CardPlayer paying a fee to get exclusive coverage. But, what I do not understand is why they can not allow someone else to cover the events CardPlayer chooses not to cover, specifically the "post ME bracelet events"
While many have no interest in these events, some of us are interested. Since both Chan and Hellmuth are playing in today's event, it is at least possible one of them could get an eleventh bracelet.

Because CardPlayer has exclusive coverage?

Even if CP isn't covering those events, I suppose they don't want any other reporters in the way.

Other reporters can cover the smaller events. Access is only restricted after the tournament has shrunk to a smaller number of tables.

Why doesn't Cardplayer get somebody who knows something about poker to cover the events?

This is the worst coverage of the WSOP in the past 5 years.

I was busy all day yesterday, so I read the event log on Cardplayer, and then read the writeup of day 4. Alex Henriquez?, who is the main daily reporter, says on the day 4 writeup that the big story for the day is Joe Hachem, but I can only remember about two or three instances in the 17 pages of event logs where they discuss how Hachem is doing. I wonder if CP writers read what the rest of the staff is writing, because it is very inconsistent. Alex also mentioned Liebert, Violette, and Duke as big stories, but they only reported one or two hands total on the 3 "high profile" women remaining.

What I don't understand is, I thought CP paid for exclusive online coverage. But hell, there's 10 sites with updates. Someone posted earlier that Pokerwire's coverage was much faster than CP.

How is that happening? I'd be made as hell if I was CP. I know for a fact those exclusive coverage deals are EXPENSIVE.
