Default One for RocketmanJames: stars 5/10 turn action

This is one where rocketman had been sweating me, and we saw the turn differently...

Stars 5/10, 6 handed

I'm on the button with 7c8c, UTG raises, one fold, CO cold caller, I cc as well, both blinds call.

5 players, 10sb. Flop is [6s 7s 8h]

sb checks, bb bets, UTG and CO call, I raise. SB folds, everyone else calls.

4 players, 9 bb. Turn brings the [6s 7s 8h] [5s]

checked to me...your move?

PF is meh. I'd bet the turn, call a raise if it's 1 bet more for boat/chopping outs, and probably fold the river UI. The board is scary but I'm not convinced I'm behind yet based on the action.

i dont get how there can be any question on this turn.

Bet.

maybe post your guys opionions. If you check it through, then you have to call on the river and your giving a card to any spade, any ten. bet this, call one back to you on FH outs. reevaluate the river.

Fold preflop, bet the turn?

PS Welcome to Canada.

Preflop i wasn't worried about...this game was sofffft and I did expect the blinds to come along. With the cold-caller in, I definitely call this pre. Without him, yeah, fold. I didn't mention any of that cause it wasn't the focus of the post.

On the turn, I definitely bet. RMJ (forgive me if I'm remembering this incorrectly) thought with that many players in, it may be best to wait for a safe river. I think he was convinced by the end of our conversation that i was right, but he suggested the post to see what others thought. (He probably wouldn't have been in the situation in the first place, because with a much tighter style than me, he probably would have folded preflop along with you guys.)

Yea, i dont like the preflop call.

flop is fine, and I bet the turn, and call if its raised and only 1 more back to me, becuase you have outs to a boat and to possibly chop this hand.

And i check behind on the river U/I or fold U/I.

Looks fine aside from PF.

Ya, that was my position at the time. I've re-evaluated with all these new views, and I think I'm pretty convinced that a bet is better.

I guess I'm just weak-tight.
