I've finally seen the light and switched to stars....I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] stars

I would just love to see more bonuses...having no rakeback or anything doesn't bother me (altough I would prefer it)...it'd just be cool if they had like a monthly reload bonus.

Ya that was me. You did a pretty good summary of the conversation. I dont remember talk about lowering the rake requirement at 100NL but I probably left by then. That would be great if they did. I have only been there for a week but It seems I accumulate at a decent clip. But would be obvioulsy better if they lowered it.

As far as rakeback I look at it as pts for Amazon gift card works out pretty well. They go on Ebay for ~95% of face value.

One more thing I forgot is that Lee said Stars has no plans to add a casino or blackjack. They plan to stay strictly poker.

They need to implement some sort of partial FPP system for $5 pots/$10 pots. I've got friends who got the signup bonus from the last reload but still havn't cleared it because they are playing $20 NL and you basically need to stack someone to get a point.

Apparantly if they did this though they would probaly need to raise some prices in the store because off all the extra FPPs that would be floating around.

Ok, I've been putting it off but I'm going to finally join Stars. I know there is no rakeback, but I just looked at their site and saw they don't even have a first time signup bonus. They list a heading for it but it says "No bonus at this time." That was a little disappointing. Do they ever have one? Or any other kind of sign up incentives?

To let smaller stakes players clear their signups and reloads I assume. I personally don't mind it the way it is and wouldn't want the items in the store to cost more, but I could see why someone playing like $25 NL would complain that they can't clear the bonuses Stars offers without playing tournaments.

A couple of the big affiliates offer a $50 sign up bonus.
