[ QUOTE ]
I read the thread and was struck by how many people are casting the decision to close the politics forum as some inexcusable, grave decision. So the word 'martyr' came to mind.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know why the word 'martyr' came to your mind, nothing I have read it's close to a "martyrdom" position. Some of us think Mason made a bad decision, that's about it. I find pathetic your criticism about our criticism; I mean, what's the use?

[ QUOTE ]
Sorry for sharing my opinion in a straightforward manner.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh, please; as if your labelling us as "martyrs" was not condescending enough.

bisonbison,

Any reason you don't quote like everyone else other than to stand out? As sure as the sun rises in the East you know I hate you but even still I give you the benefit of the doubt and it makes no sense to me...

Why on earth would it matter?

I don't like the quote function, and italicizing in part allows me to break up the message into smaller pieces to respond to without making the whole thing five yards long.

I've been doing it for years here and am unlikely to change. Hate away.

I don't know why the word 'martyr' came to your mind,

Because I found it apt. The free speech corps here is all up in arms over an event that most reasonable people could have seen coming from a mile away. I find the amount of moral posturing about a business decision to be laughable, so I chose 'martyr' to more clearly convey my disdain for the over-inflated sense of wounded rightousness that many Mason-naysayers are bringing to bear.

Oh, please; as if your labelling us as "martyrs" was not condescending enough.

I quick-replied and said 'lot of internet martyrs up in this piece. Which is roughly as pathetic as you'd expect.'. Sorry if you felt unduly singled out as a pathetic internet martyr.

What are you trying to accomplish by arguing with me?

1. Am I gonna be convinced that Mason did the wrong thing?
2. Am I gonna retract my description of 'martyr'?
3. Am I gonna feel bad for being condescending to people who I think are acting in a juvenile, ridiculous manner?

That's three Nays for those keeping score at home.

Funny how a guy who has spent all day every day for the last 2 1/2 years in OOT feels compelled to condescend to people he thinks are acting in a "juvenile, ridiculous manner". Good stuff.
