Go to Groom Team up in Washington Heights now. $20 for a cut, but they do a pretty good job. I'm trying to become a "regular" with one of them who does the best job, because up until this point I've always done walk-ins and get mixed results.
"Very short on the sides and back..like a 2 on the razor. Short on top as well, but not as short as on the sides." (Top is where I always have the problem...I usually need to ask once or twice to take more off the top). I need a new hairstyle (I have a left part), but have no idea what to do and always figure there's no way my hair can be trained to do something different than the part. Anybody have experience with this? |

[ QUOTE ]
anybody tried "Sport Cuts" where the girls are obligated to learn about and discuss sports with the clientele? sounds ridiculous to me but a brief trip report might be amusing. [/ QUOTE ] Tried it, because I'm a marketing whore and I was enamored by the possibility of watching sports while getting a haircut and I hadn't found a good place in my new city yet. The experience was mediocre. The sports theme was rampant but there was only one really nice tv, and the tv's near the hair cutting stations were small. The girl cutting my hair did not mention sports at all, and was not attractive either. She barely spoke, and the haircut was average at best. I got the little massage and all that which consists of them putting a modified vibrator on your shoulders for a few minutes. Not really worth it. All in all I wouldn't go back unless nothing better was available. |
