Re: Best Tortilla Chips (nomination thread)
I like Dianes tortilla chips. However, the best ones in the store usually come in a clear bag with a simple label. Tostitos are waay to salty. So perfect with beer.

Re: Best Tortilla Chips (nomination thread)
Not commercially available....my mom's, they're fried in lard.
Most mexican restaurants have tortilla chips that are way better than store bought. Chili's does make those really thin crispy ones that aren't bad. Store bought...1) Mission Tortilla (my overall nomination) 2) Tostito's Gold 3) Tostito's Blue Corn ScottieK |

Mission isn't bad. I would gladly take it over Tostitos.

Re: Best Tortilla Chips (nomination thread)
The most important part is that they have to be fresh, and warm. Warm, salty tortilla chips are one of life's pleasures.
As for store bought, are great on sandwiches, but not exactly authentic. Nowhere near the fresh, but good nonetheless. |

Kipin, tell me you aren't eating Chipotle guac. [/ QUOTE ] ??? Chipotle guac, although not very interesting (not much garlic, etc.) is very good guac for what you pay. I've also never had a problem with how fresh it tastes or anything like that. Tell me why you don't like it. |

Re: Best Tortilla Chips (nomination thread)
I did not enjoy the taste of their guac at all. I would take Baja Fresh's over that. Ultimately you should learn how to make your own. Its very easy and so, so much better tasting.
