Default Re: Party VIP Offer?

I sent this email last night:

I play on Partypoker under the account name of XXXXXXX, username
XXXXXXXX, and I have been a VIP for almost a year and the past few months
have recieved no sort or bonus or deal or anything. I was under the
impression that VIPs recieved some sort of bonus for the large amount of
business they were bringing to your site. After learning of the most recent
"monster" promotion, as well as the "summer sizzler" I am very disappointed
in you guys. I was expecting a decent bonus and what I see is complete
trash that is open to everyone including non VIP members. If I do not hear
good news regarding VIP bonuses soon then I am definitely looking into
switching my playing to one of your competitors, such as Pokerstars or
perhaps even WPEX. I have also heard from some VIPs that they have recieved
a recent $100 bonus that I have not heard or seen. Why are you only giving
this to a few and I heard nothing about it?

And I got this reply:

Dear Jesse,

Thank you for contacting Customer Care.

I am pleased to announce that there will be a VIP offer sent out within a week. Please look out for this offer either by email or via the pop ups when you log into the lobby.

I have looked into your account and I see you have already received the July reload bonus which was for $100, this is the bonus alot of players will be referring to.

If you have any further questions or queries you are more than welcome to contact us again.

Kind Regards

Wayne

Seriously, how hard would it be for just 2 guys to sit down and put together a VIP offer?
Even if they wanted to construct an individual points-for-cash offer that is unique to every one of their VIP's I can't imagine it would take THAT long (although that does make it unnecessarily complicated).

They say they are 'working on it' as if it is something that really takes days and days (weeks?) to construct.

[/ QUOTE ]

Basically today we had 10 people saying this over and over again to the PartyPoker rep that seemed to be listening.

The fact that PartyPoker hired a consultant to conduct a focus group with VIP players about the VIP program is hopefully a good sign that they are starting to care.

[/ QUOTE ]

These focus groups are not new...They also sent out VIP questionars several months ago...Its is there lack of responses to these focus group and the players that is troubling...IMO a focus group at the WSOP will lead to more promos like Monster and the June WSOP...It will be heavily weighted by donkament playet opinion..FWIW I think a good focus group would be Party Affiliates as they have a stake in both the player and Party..

If someone would be kind enough to tell me what conditions are necessary to be qualified as a party VIP I would appreciate that. Do you need a certain number of party points? Do you you have to reach gold status level?

Thanks

The answer here is nobody know for sure(even Party)..Some here $1,000 MGR others say 3,000 party points...It all appears one big quessing game...This is a major problem of the program..

Interesting. Does $1000 MGR mean a thousand dollar paid in rake? If so, I have easily completed that. I have also earned approx 20k party points. Would it be wise to email party and ask them if they would give me vip status? Anyone else who is informed is also encouraged to provide an answer.

We would appreciate that too. Unfortunately, Party isn't very willing to stay consistent about this.

"Would it be wise to email party and ask them if they would give me vip status?"

It probably wouldn't hurt to ask if you are in already to make sure.
But it probably won't matter very much if they stay consistent with how they've done it in the past.
Lots of players who had no idea they were VIP's would get an offer sent to them (back when they were sending offers) and would then say, "Well, I guess this means I'm a VIP now."

But there were a few who were skipped over somehow. So it probably doesn't hurt to let them know that you believe you have played enough where you should qualify for their next offer.
