I know nothing about NL. No reads on CO. Should I have just pushed the flop after being raised?

i don't see why he has to push the flop. the 3bet is fine...c/r all in on turn sometimes but i prefer value betting turn and pushing the last bits of your stack in on river

This sounds like a bad beat where the case six spiked quads, but guessing results from the post is probably an even more pernicious form of being results oriented so I'll stop now.

Your primary motivation for getting money in on the flop is that a six (even a weak six in SSNL) isn't going to get away from the hand, and you want to get the money in before a third diamond kills your action.

So the question is what's most likely to get the most money in. I lean toward pushing on the three bet even though Isura is right that it's a ridiculous overbet. It's a ridiculous overbet that most sixes are going to call. As played on the flop isn't awful either, but it may cost you a bit of expectation.

Now to the turn: so much for pulling for a call from a six. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] If villain has the case six, more power to him. Check-calling is probably OK because you want a diamond draw to catch (preferably, catch sixes full!). Essentially you're way ahead/way behind and giving free cards can only help you. If he pushes the turn I don't know how you get away from it; I think you have to pray he had something like 99 or the case eight.

Why is no one talking about the lack of pf action. You're oop, have one poster and the button who limped in. Ideally, I'd like to at least be heads up here. As played, you can't really put either of them on any range of hands.

You're going to see slow played overcards here a lot more than the 6 I think. Slow playing the flop isn't that bad considering the strength of your hand.
