In Need of Some LAG Advice - B. Whale this means you - KK OOP
OK - I'm playing the same cards I normally play. Over a small sample size say 50 hands, I'm 40/18...in other words, I'm catching cards. I'm c-betting and winning small pots. So, I find myself with a LAG image...a rarity for me. I'm running over the table, with cards although they have no idea. Table is pretty passive and folding to my bets.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (5 handed) internettexasholdem.com Button ($23.98) Hero ($81.53) BB ($37.10) UTG ($53.25) MP ($16.79) Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.25. MP posts a blind of $0.75. UTG raises to $1, MP (poster) calls $0.50, Button calls $1, Hero (poster) raises to $5.75, 1 fold, UTG calls $5, MP folds, Button calls $5. OK, this is a rarity to me and I'm worried. If I get called in 2 places with that PFR with my usual <25 VPIP...I know I'm up against AA. Here, I don't know. Flop: ($19.75) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets $15, UTG calls $15, Button calls $15. This is my standard c-bet tonight and if I have a TAG image and get called in 2 places here I'm worried. Should I be worried with a LAG image? Potting here or overbetting here seems better looking at the hand so far. The boards pretty wet. What's the standard LAG line here on a passive table? Turn: ($64.75) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero ... OK - being called in 2 places and the A of diamonds shows up. 2 flush draws now possible. Ax of hearts now has me beat. Can I check here or do I fire again representing AK?? What's a LAG to do here?? I'm normally running for the hills. |

Great - c/f...I'm with you.
What hands call a LAG with that sized PFR??? Its triple my standard raise and should signal strength. Turn Check, Check, Check River is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero???? |

Betting the river doesn't accomplish much. I doubt worse hands are calling. So we check, and then have to see what happens. I guess I would be willing to call here sometimes, depending on who bet, and how much.

River...checks all around...I take down the pot.
These guys called with 4Td and QJc...wtf. I need to raise more hands if this is the kind of action it brings. So for you LAGs...do you routinely see this kind of crap calling your big PFRs??? |
