Re: Fuji @ The Second Break of Day 2 (4:30 PM)
Just thought I would point out some notables on 2a that he has beat out.

Re: The Latest Fuji News (Following Level 8 on Day 2: 2:15PM)

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] In the first hand of the day, Fuji was sittin on 55 from the sb. UTG+1 (has fuji covered) made it 1,200 to go, player immediately to his left (fuji has him covered)just calls, folded to Fuji who shoves. BB folds, original raiser folds, last remaining player also folds. [/ QUOTE ] Uhhhhh... didn't he have over 20k at the start of the day? This seems highly non-standard. [/ QUOTE ] I think what he said is he's sitting on POCKET FIVES not 55,000 Brother just called him and conferenced me in on the call. "I'm in a hand, gotta go." [/ QUOTE ] I think non-standard part was not a misread. It's surprsing that Fuji would push 20k more into a pot that's only about 3-4k in size with just 55. Even if he was planning a squeeze play, a smaller raise would get the job done. [/ QUOTE ] I thought about this for a bit. 1) If he has some read that UTG+1 is a light raiser / weak player, he mostly has big cards, then he's putting him to the test for half of his stack. Raising is a good option here. 2) I don't know exactly, but I think the day started with 100/200 blinds. With 20K in chips, 55 is a good hand after this action, and worth a raise. 3) Any raise will effectively make him pot committed and he will have to call the other guy's push, getting good odds. He may as well just push here. Buzz |

Re: Fuji @ The Second Break of Day 2 (4:30 PM)
Thanks.
I will be out for a couple hours playing basketball but will call someone to update if Fuji calls me. Currently they were about 2/3 of the way through level 10 and he was sitting around 50k in chips. Will post for sure when I get back. |

Re: Fuji @ The Second Break of Day 2 (4:30 PM)
An interesting turn of events from the WSOP day 2A sweat thread
CP says they are about 140 players left before the goal of 700 is reached for day 2A (currently 840 of the 1637 who started the day remain). The problem is they are only 3 levels in to what they planned to be a 6 level day. |
